The Hunterdon County Makerspace promises a welcoming, safe space for community members of all ages and backgrounds to connect, discover, build and create through hands-on experimentation and exploration. We strive to provide opportunities to collaborate and learn new skills using equipment, tools and materials that spark creativity, build community, promote digital literacy and provide opportunities for life-long learning.
You'll need a few things to access the spaces:
A Hunterdon County Library Card is required to use the Makerspace. Information on obtaining a library card can be found here. |
Acknowledge agreement to the Makerspace Use Agreement and Makerspace Activities Program Release for Adults when reserving equipment, registering online for a class or program or attending Open Hours. The Makerspace Activities Program Release for Minors is completed at the time of the program. |
You must be at least 9 years old to be in the HQ Makerspace. Minors age 9-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian if not in a library program. |
Closed toed shoes must be worn in the Makerspace. Hair and dangling items, such as jewelry should be secured. |
Most machines are free to use with your own materials. Some machines require specific library sourced materials that are compatible with the machine (3D printers, Direct to Garment Printer Ink, Sublimation Ink, Potter Clay & Glaze) for which there are charges. |
Bring your library card. Check in with staff when you arrive and check out when leaving. |
