The Hunterdon County Makerspaces promise a welcoming, safe space for community members of all ages and backgrounds to connect, discover, build and create through hands-on experimentation and exploration. We strive to provide opportunities to collaborate and learn new skills using equipment, tools and materials that spark creativity, build community, promote digital literacy and provide opportunities for life-long learning.
You'll need a few things to access the spaces:
A Hunterdon County Library Card is required
to use the Makerspaces. Information on obtaining
a library card can be found here.
Acknowledge agreement to the Makerspace Use Agreement
Program Release for Adults when reserving
equipment, registering online for a class or
program or attending Open Hours. The Makerspace Activities Program Release for Minors is completed at the time of the

Makerspace at Headquarters Library
In the lower level, new for 2023 is a spacious Makerspace.
Makerspace at North County Branch Library
Come see our beautiful multipurpose room on the 2nd floor of the North County Branch Library! This glassed in space holds our Makerspace equipment. Appointments are available to use equipment and programs for adults and children are ongoing.
Our STEM and Storytime bikes allow our staff to bring events to you in the community!
