The Museum Pass program enables library patrons to visit several museums across the region. It’s a great way for friends and families residing in Hunterdon to enjoy education, cultural enrichment, and fun. All HCLS resident cardholders, in good standing, are eligible to check out a museum pass. There is no charge to reserve a museum pass.
Please use the box below to browse the institutions we offer, read the individual pass benefits and loan instructions, and to place reservations.
To visit institutions that require a physical pass, those passes must be picked up and dropped off at North County Branch Library (65 Halstead Street in Clinton). Physical passes may be picked up after 2pm on the day prior to day of use and must be dropped off at NCB by 11am on the 2nd day after use. (If you use a pass on Monday, it should be returned to NCB by 11am Wednesday.) If the library is open, passes should be returned at the circulation desk. When the library is closed, feel free to return passes via the book drop at NCB.
Some institutions require timed entry reservations. Use the library website to place your museum pass reservation, and then follow the instructions in the confirmation email to place the timed entry reservations.
Physical passes returned late will accrue a fine of $10/day. Lost passes will result in a $25 replacement fee applied to the library account used to place the reservation. To see the full policy, click here.
Please Note: Passes may not be accepted during special events. Check with each museum to prior to booking.
