Using the Glowforge isn't difficult but it does require some safety training. Please follow the steps below and you'll be safely using the Glowforge in no time.
1. Register for a Glowforge Certification Class. Classes are held at the Headquarters Makerspace. We encourage you to join the waitlist if the class is full for two reasons. First people do cancel and the reservation system will automatically move the waitlist into a cancellation spot and notify you that you are now in the class. Second, a waitlist lets us know additional classes are needed .
2. Take the Glowforge Laser Badging Quiz. You'll received the password for the quiz at the training session.
3. Reserve the Glowforge. Equipment reservations are online at https://hclibrary.libcal.com/reserve/equipment/headquartersmakerspace. Scroll down the page until you see the picture of the Glowforge, select "availability". Look for a date/time that works for you with a green square. Select "add to cart and checkout". Login with your Hunterdon County Library card and pin code. If you don't know your pin code have it reset by calling the Hunterdon County Library Headquarters Circulation desk (908-788-1437). Select the continue button on the next page. Agree to the Makerspace Use agreement and Liability Waiver then select "submit booking". The reservation will be approved if you have taken the certification class and you will receive a confirmation email.
