Join us for our Summer Reading Challenge for a chance to win great prizes! Just follow our 4 steps for success:
1. Register for an account on Beanstack
Don't have access to a computer or smartphone? We will have paper registration forms and reading logs available at our teen and youth service desks.
2. Track your time spent reading
Use Beanstack (or our paper logs) to keep track of the time you spend reading. Read whatever you want, whenever you want! Graphic novels, audiobooks, blogs, and of course books count. If you need recommendations, check out our book list below or sign up for our Teen Lit Loot Bag!
Paper logs will be available at the Teen Services desk at the Headquarters Branch and North County Branch.
3. Attend library programs
We have LOTS going on for teens this summer at most of our locations! Check out our Teen Event Calendar for a full listing and to register for events. Please keep in mind that most teen programs require registration. Attending programs also gives you points for our Summer Reading Challenge!
4. Complete activities
There's even more to do this summer! Write book reviews, visit our affiliate locations, and so much more. Track these activities in Beanstack to get more points toward the Summer Reading Challenge!
5. Win Prizes!
You'll receive a prizes simply for registering and adding to your Beanstack log, but our top three readers, top two point earners (attending programs and participating in activities), and one raffle winner will receive a $50 gift card to a local Hunterdon County business!
Any questions or concerns, please reach out to Head of Teen Services, Emily Witkowski, at ewitkowski@hclibrary.us
Happy Reading!
This year's theme is Adventure Begins at Your Library. Some activities in our teen challenge are to read books that involve different forms of travel. For more reading suggestions, see our full booklist on Beanstack!
