Overdrive
Overdrive is the original interface for accessing our curated collection of ebooks, eaudios and digital magazines. The Overdrive app is no longer supported, but this website is a great option for transferring titles to your Kindle device.
How to Sign In & Send to Kindle:
Step 1: Go to mainlib.overdrive.com. In the top right corner select Sign In.
Step 2: Enter your HCLS card number. This 14-digit number is located below the barcode of your library card. Enter the number without any spaces. Enter your 4-digit PIN and select Sign In.
Step 3: Locate a book by browsing or using the search bar. If the book is available, a Borrow button will be present. Items currently check out will instead read Place a Hold.
Step 4: If a box indicating success appears, select Read now with Kindle. Otherwise, go to your shelf by selecting My Account (upper right corner), then Loans. Select Read now with Kindle next to your book.
Step 5: You will be brought to an Amazon log-in screen. Enter the username and password associated with your Kindle, then select Send to Kindle.
Step 6: The book should now be located in your Kindle Library. Your Kindle will need to be connected to WiFi in order for the book to be delivered.
